[UPDATED] Event Cancellation/Postponement

JAPAN LIBRARY titles are exhibited at multiple conferences every year. Two of which are the Association for Asian Studies (AAS) conference and the International Studies Association (ISA) conference, both held annually in a major city in America or Canada. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, it has been decided that we will not exhibit at either AAS (Boston) or ISA (Honolulu) this year. If you were planning to stop by the JL booth, we hope to see you at the AAS and ISA conferences in 2021.

The award ceremony for the Japan-U.S. Friendship Commission Prize for the Translation of Japanese Literature and Lindsley and Masao Miyoshi Prizes at the Donald Keene Center of Japanese Culture has also been cancelled as well. Translator Matt Treyvaud was expected to attend and receive the Lindsley and Masao Miyoshi Prize for his translation of The Music of Color by Shimura Fukumi.
